Qualifications

• Experience with carbon arc gouging and FCAW electrodes (1/16" and 3/32").
• Ability to read and interpret weld blueprints and symbols.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in carbon arc gouging and oxy/fuel torch operations for precise metal prep.
• Interpret weld symbols and read technical prints and blueprints accurately.
• Operate rigging equipment and overhead cranes with safety and certifications in mind.
• Fit and lay out components for welding preparations and dimensions.
• Use a broad range of welding electrodes and adapt techniques to materials.
• Perform carbon arc gouging to support high quality repair work.
• Aim for weld certifications aligned with Komatsu quality standards.
• Apply advanced trades mathematics to solve measurement challenges.
• Interpret drawings, charts, and formulas to ensure project accuracy.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments for inspection and setup.
• Maintain detailed reports and records to support team communication.
