Qualifications

• 3+ years' hands-on experience with carbon arc gouging and FCAW electrodes (1/16" and 3/32" diameters).
• Ability to pass 1" weld certification test covering positions 1G-4G using FCAW within 90 days.
• Proficiency in interpreting welding blueprints and performing precise welds to meet quality standards.
• Solid understanding of welding safety protocols and shop compliance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in carbon arc gouging and oxy/fuel operations for precise metal prep and welding.
• Interpret weld symbols and read technical prints accurately.
• Operate rigging equipment and overhead cranes with safety and certification compliance.
• Fit and layout components before welding; verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Analyze, update, and maintain reports and records for project data.
