Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Welder for our Cartersville, GA facility. You will report to the Welding Supervisor and weld aluminum cable trays while following blueprints and tolerances. The role emphasizes safety and the ability to work overtime as needed in a non-climate-controlled shop.

Key requirements include 6+ months welding experience, the ability to read a tape measure, and a High School diploma or GED. A Technical School Welding Certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months welding experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical School Welding Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, adjustments and operation of welding machines within the department.
• Ability to use basic fabricating tools (i.e. tape measure).
• Interpret drawings and fabricate based off blueprints.
• Fabricate per customer requirements adhering to specifications.
• Actively participate in Atkore’s safety program.
• Cross train in different areas of the shop as required.
• Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE.
