Job summary

Wastequip Steel Division seeks a Welder to support our Alexandria, LA manufacturing operation. The role focuses on MIG welding in a fast-paced setting, following blueprints and layout marks to ensure precise welds.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read blue prints and measuring tape.

Responsibilities

  • Position parts in jigs or fixtures and tack weld as directed.
  • Weld along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
  • Connect regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders; light torch and adjust gas flow.
  • Examine welds for bead size and specifications.
  • Scarfs or grooves welds and parts.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or splatter.
  • Follow safety and EH&S requirements.

## Welder 2Applylocations: Alexandria, LAposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-101231**Job Description:**Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Alexandria, LA manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.**Hourly Pay**: $20.07 - $21.92 (based on experience)**Responsibilities*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces* Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
