Job summary

Advanced Exhaust Solutions is seeking a Weld Inspector I/Quality Inspector to inspect welded components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project specs. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address welding-related issues and protect product integrity.

The role requires strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures, with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and safety in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding tech program preferred.
• 2–5 years welding or related field experience; entry-level role may not require inspection experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specs; basic inspection tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections on pre-, in-process, and post-welded materials to identify defects.
• Perform dimensional inspections to verify welds meet blueprints and specs.
• Assist in setting up and testing weld joints for strength and integrity.
• Maintain inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation.
• Communicate findings and non-conformances to welders and supervisors for corrective actions.
