Job summary

Southern States LLC is looking for a Weld Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with welding codes, focusing on AWS D1.1 and D1.2. The role involves hands-on inspection, quality assurance, and process improvement to ensure product integrity.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 2 years of experience in quality engineering or welding inspection. Knowledge of various welding processes and AWS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding inspection or weld quality engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of welding codes and standards.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded joints per AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.2 requirements.
• Review and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications.
• Develop and maintain inspection reports and documentation.
