Job summary

Focus Manufacturing is seeking a Welding Inspector / QC Technician to ensure weld quality and overall conformance in an AS9100 environment. You will inspect welds, review blueprints, maintain welding documentation, and support QC activities across production.

The role reports to the Quality Control Manager and offers the opportunity to pursue AWS CWI certification with company support. Strong attention to detail and proficiency with standard inspection tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Welding knowledge and fabrication shop experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and drawings.
• Experience with inspection tools and documentation.
• Strong communication of quality concerns.
• Willingness to pursue AWS CWI certification with company support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of welded components to verify conformance to drawings and welding specs.
• Inspect welds for size, profile, and discontinuities and document nonconformances.
• Review blueprints and welding requirements to set inspection criteria.
• Maintain WPSs, PQRs, and welding-related quality documentation.
• Support fabrication quality by collaborating with welders and production staff.
• Assist with weld repairs, rework verification, and corrective actions.
• Conduct in-process and final QC checks and record inspection results.
• Support AS9100 compliance and customer quality requirements.
