Job summary

Voeller Mixers is seeking a Quality Control Inspector – Welding to inspect welded components and assemblies for conformance to engineering drawings and welding codes. You will verify weld size, length, and appearance using precision tools and document inspection results throughout production.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of quality control or inspection experience in welding or metal fabrication, with proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection within welding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with AWS welding codes and standards; CWI credential preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and weld gauges.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and quality tracking/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally for conformance to drawings and codes.
• Verify weld size, length, placement, and appearance against specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality logs, and traceability documentation.
• Collaborate with welders and Production Manager to address defects and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
