Job summary

Quantum Industrial is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to ensure welding and fabrication activities meet AWS/ASME codes, project specs, and company quality requirements. You will oversee inspections, testing, documentation, and witnessing welder qualifications to sustain high product integrity and customer satisfaction.

The role requires AWS CWI certification, 3–5+ years of welding inspection experience, and proficiency in reading blueprints and WPS/PQR documents.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required.
• 3–5+ years of welding inspection experience in fabrication, structural steel, or piping environments.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and B31.1/B31.3 codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, WPS, and PQR documentation.
• Familiarity with NDT methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated assemblies.
• Verify base materials, welding consumables, and compliance with WPS requirements.
• Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to AWS, ASME, and project specifications.
• Coordinate and support NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, RT).
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, NCRs, and project turnover documentation.
• Witness welder qualification testing and maintain welder continuity records.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams, project managers, and customer inspectors to resolve quality concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
