Job summary

YMCA of Coastal Carolina is seeking a Welcome Center Representative to provide friendly, customer-focused service at the Welcome Center. You will assist with member check-ins, program registrations, payments, and account updates, while guiding guests to appropriate programs and staff.

This role supports onboarding and engagement, answers program questions, and maintains confidential member information in a fast-paced facility. Evening and weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Ability to learn and communicate information about YMCA memberships, programs, services, and policies.
• Ability to accurately perform routine transactions, maintain records, and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes members, prospective members, participants, and guests and provides friendly, responsive service in person, by phone, and through other channels.
• Performs routine Welcome Center functions, including member check-in, program registration, payments, and account updates.
• Conducts facility tours, answers inquiries, and assists enrollment using YMCA practices.
• Maintains confidential member records and processes payments with cash-handling.
• Keeps the Welcome Center clean and organized and communicates safety concerns to staff.
