Job summary

The YMCA SE Branch in Huntsville, AL is seeking a part-time Welcome Center Staff member who greets members and guests, learns names, and helps them feel welcome and connected. You will guide tours, explain membership options, support enrollment, and promote YMCA programs with a focus on service and community impact.

Delivering friendly, cause-driven service in person, by phone, and through approved channels, you will help members feel valued and informed while contributing to a welcoming branch

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, sales, membership, nonprofit, or community-facing experience preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire, or within the timeframe established by the YMCA.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Build relationships and connect members to programs and resources.
• Explain membership options and assist through the joining process.
• Promote YMCA missions and initiatives while delivering courteous service.
• Maintain a clean, professional Welcome Center and lobby.
