Job summary

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA's Micron Early Learning Center in Boise seeks a Welcome Center Staff to maintain a friendly, welcoming front desk presence for families and staff. The role emphasizes relationship-building with parents, information provision, and proper check-in procedures while upholding confidentiality and safety policies.

This full-time position requires the ability to work within hours of operation (6:30am–6:30pm, Mon–Fri) and offers a comprehensive benefits package including

• Previous customer service or related experience.
• Basic computer and office skills.
• Ability to engage others and make people feel welcome.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop intentional relationships with parents and staff.
• Serve as a point of contact for parents and guests, providing information about programs and policies.
• Assist in connecting to appropriate Y staff if needed.
• Use databases and software to confirm or update parent and child information, and check-in children, maintaining confidentiality.
• Resolve parent concerns and safety issues, refer to policy procedures as needed.
• Field and resolve parent concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations.
