Job summary

West Boise YMCA is hiring a Part-Time Housekeeping Staff member to keep all areas clean, safe and well maintained while engaging with members and staff.

The role supports the Treasure Valley Family YMCA and serves a large active community with fitness facilities, pools and youth programs. Schedule includes mornings and weekends; candidate must be able to work independently and uphold high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 6 months or more of related experience preferred.
• Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe environment for members, participants, and staff by cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas of the facility to meet standards of cleanliness in accordance with cleaning checklists and using required safety measures.
• Replenish products and supplies as needed.
• Develop intentional relationships and engage with members.
• Set-up before and tear-down after special events.
• Record and report necessary repairs. Complete repairs if directed.
• Ensures the cleanliness, safety and security of the facility and the overall attractiveness of the branch by completing duties according to checklist or as assigned.
• Routine locker room and restroom cleaning, stocking and maintenance.
• Regular laundry including loading, unloading and operating washers and dryers, folding, stacking laundry.

Our West Boise YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Staff member to join the team. This Housekeeping role is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe and well maintained while maintaining positive interactions with members and other staff.

Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.

Schedule:

This is a Part-Time position at 14-18 hours a week. Schedule requirement is 8:00am - noon, Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00am-10:00am, Saturday and Sunday. Must be able to work independently.
