Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring Diesel Technicians in Blair, NE. Earn $24.00 - $35.00 per hour with weekly pay, plus a comprehensive benefits package, company-provided tools, and paid vacation and holidays.

Required: at least 1 year of experience on Class A trucks and skills in air brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. The role includes diagnosing and repairing truck and trailer components, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance across all fleet assets.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience working on Class A trucks.
Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems.
Welding and fabrication experience required.
Tire repair experience preferred.
Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine repairs and repair orders.
Maintain safety and reliability on fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, and yard tractors.
Abide by company policies and safety rules and keep a clean, safe work environment.
Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
Safely operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and safety tools.
