Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring Diesel Technicians in Blair, NE to inspect and repair trucks, trailers, and yard tractors, ensuring compliance with federal standards. The role requires at least 1 year of Class A truck experience and familiarity with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems.
• Prior welding and fabrication experience required.
• Tire repair experience preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and compliancy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine repairs and repair orders.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors to maximize safety and reliability.
• Abide by all company policies and safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
