Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for the Weekend 1st Shift in Moncks Corner, SC. This hands-on role leads dock activities, coordinating trailer movements and yard flow while partnering with operations, safety, and customer teams to ensure safe, timely movements.

The position requires outdoor work in all weather, effective communication, and adherence to safety processes. Candidates with prior dock or yard coordination experience will excel in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Familiarity with trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and across terrain.
• Ability to follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation procedures.
• Strong communication skills for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all loading and unloading dock activities.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily operational priorities.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy and fleet safety.
• Monitor dock conditions and enforce stop-work when unsafe conditions arise.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams daily.
• Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and safety standards.
