Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Weekend 1st Shift Yard and Dock Coordinator for Thursday through Sunday, 6:00am to 4:00pm.

You will lead dock activities, ensure safe trailer movements, and partner with operations and customer teams to meet daily priorities, while upholding safety standards and 7S practices. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication, tool use, and a commitment to safety and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication with daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of dock tools/equipment.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow per safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal/external stakeholders and uphold customer service.
