Job summary

ABB in Columbus, MS is hiring a Weekend Shift Multi-Skilled Winding Operator to support the Winding Department and achieve production targets. You will cross-train across at least three additional winding operations, work on the 12-hour Friday-Sunday shifts, and ensure quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate and monitor equipment, follow standard work instructions, and contribute to lean manufacturing while collaborating with production and quality teams onsite.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read work instructions and technical diagrams.
• Experience in welding, wiring, brazing, or motor manufacturing preferred.
• Stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work safely in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate primary winding functions and cross-train in at least three additional winding roles.
• Set up, operate, and monitor equipment while meeting quality and safety standards.
• Maintain production records and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams ensuring a safe, productive workplace.
