Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Athens, GA. The role involves assembling semi-finished or final products, using light hand tools, and performing built-in quality tests on a defined production line.

You’ll work onsite in our Winding Department and rotate across centers while following strict procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read prints and factory orders in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret information from prints, factory orders, routings, and other internal documentation in hard copy or electronic formats.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and operate in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing when integrated with production lines.
• Perform work manually or with light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Demonstrate ability to work in two winding department work centers within an 18-month period.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements.
• Follow lock out/tag out and other safety procedures.
