Job summary

ABB in Athens, GA is seeking an entry-level assembler for the winding department. You will perform manual assembly, use light tools, and participate in quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.

The role is onsite with shift work as needed, and you will train across two winding centers within 18 months while following safety procedures and reading/understanding prints and routings.

Qualifications

• Ability to receive and understand verbal and written technical instructions in English and respond in English.
• Read and interpret information from prints, factory orders, routings and other internal documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
• Demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily perform in two winding department work centers within an 18 month period.
• Follow lock out/tag out and other safety procedures.
