Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates, including forklift operators, while supporting the supervisor with daily tasks. The role covers various departments such as shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in warehouse operations and 6 months in leadership, with a valid forklift license. Strong safety, teamwork, and communication skills are required for this hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train warehouse associates and forklift drivers.
• Provide backup to the supervisor as needed.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution (clamp/slip sheet, etc.).
• Complete shipping/tracking paperwork per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances.
• Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks and keep area inspection-ready.
• Ensure product rotation procedures are followed and incidents are reported to supervision.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed; adapt to department needs.
