Job summary

Alton Memorial Hospital, a member of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Full-time Sonographer for weekend option (nights). The position runs Friday to Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with on-call duties and holiday rotation. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

The ultrasound department supports abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical imaging and aims to provide quality care close to home within our five-county service area.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have an Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
• RDMS or equivalent certification is required.
• RDCS or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment and ensures proper documentation.
• Performs imaging studies (abdominal, small parts, obstetrical) and assists with needle procedures as needed.
• May perform studies independently, on-call duties may apply.
