Job summary

BJC HealthCare is hiring a full-time Sonographer for the Alton Memorial Hospital location with a Weekend Option. Shifts run Friday to Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Weekend option pay is eligible and a $5,000 sign-on bonus applies for eligible applicants. The ultrasound department is part of Radiology and focuses on abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular imaging for adult and pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound imaging examinations performed for diagnosis and treatment.
• Ability to perform vascular imaging as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.
• Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area.
