Job summary

BJC HealthCare is hiring a Full-time Sonographer at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. The role includes abdominal, obstetric, small parts and vascular imaging, with on-call duties as needed. 10-hour night shifts, four days per week, from 8:30 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants. Candidates should be RDMS or RDCS certified, have an Associate degree or trade school equivalency, and be able to perform studies independently.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Sonographer eligible for RDMS or RDCS.
• Experience performing abdominal, obstetrical and vascular studies preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a busy radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.
• Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area.
