Job summary

Shelter House in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Residential Coordinator for Saturdays and Sundays, 5pm-1am. The role provides essential 24-hour awake coverage for 20 efficiency units and is the first point of contact for residents, delivering crisis support and ensuring safety.

You will collaborate with case managers, maintain the daily log, assist with inventories and basic needs, and help with cleaning and restocking of supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience in human services or related field.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication; willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential 24-hour awake coverage and supervision for 20 units.
• Serve as the first point of contact for client needs and support.
• Document interactions and maintain the daily log with accuracy.
• Collaborate with case managers to reinforce service plans.
• Perform rounds, monitor building grounds, and ensure safety.
• Assist with basic needs, cleaning, and restocking of supplies.
