This position requires a Texas RN license and a calm, organized leader who can collaborate effectively during busy weekend shifts. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating coverage, and handling incident reports

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing Staff: assign and delegate duties based on census and staff availability.
• Oversee Medication Management: monitor administration and coordinate reorders.
• Implement Care Plans: ensure plans are followed per policy and orders.
• Provide Direct Care Support: perform supervision of treatments and act as staff nurse when needed.
• Manage Documentation: transcribe orders, complete assessments, maintain records.
• Lead Shift Communication: participate in shift reports and inform staff of care needs.
• Ensure Compliance: enforce infection control and safe practices.
• Respond to Staffing Needs: coordinate coverage for shortages.
• Oversee Incidents: investigate variances, contact families, complete reports.
• Manage Lab Work: monitor orders, results, and physician follow-up.
