Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support patient-centered care, following Mercy’s standards and policies. You will work with unit teams to identify clinical problems, develop plans, and educate patients and families.

The role requires competency in nursing, adherence to safety guidelines, and effective communication in a fast-paced environment across obstetric and newborn care areas.

Qualifications

• Sound background in basic nursing principles and procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to provide safe and effective basic nursing care.
• Role Models exemplary customer service and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate information during handoffs to ensure best patient outcomes.
• Assess, plan, intervene, coordinate and evaluate care based on patient plan.
• Provide education to patients and families and collaborate with the healthcare team.
