Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Iowa or a compact state.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work across departments and adapt to patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate information during handoffs to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care.
• Document nursing care in real time.
• Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Provide age-appropriate communication and education to patients and families.
• Respond to emergencies within scope of practice.
