Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient’s problems, and coordinates the care provided by health team members.

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates effectiveness; administers medications safely and serves as a point of contact

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required at hire.
• Valid nursing license in the practicing state is required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Diploma in Nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment and analyzes data to plan care.
• Implements treatment and evaluates effectiveness; administers medications safely.
• Acts as patient safety advocate and coordinates care across hospital departments.
• Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
