Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a registered nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process, perform assessments, plan and coordinate care, and collaborate with health team members to optimize outcomes.

You will administer medications safely, educate patients and families, advocate for safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while upholding professional practice standards across departments.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH
• Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required)
• Associate or Diploma in Nursing (required); BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment in collaboration with the care team.
• Analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment and evaluate effectiveness.
• Administer medications safely following practice standards and policies.
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and coordinate care across hospital departments.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and incorporate professional practice models in care delivery.
