Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Upton, MA is seeking a Respite Counselor for weekend shifts in an acute care residence. The role includes providing guidance, supervision, and direct supports to help consumers maintain health and develop skills for independent living.

Part-time 16 hours with two weekend scheduling options (Sat 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm). Requires a high school diploma with experience or higher degrees, good communication, teamwork, and a valid driver's license; benefits include healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with 1 year of related experience, or HS diploma with 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and document progress clearly.
• Ability to work in a team and also independently.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to consumers.
• Support crisis or situational stabilization and care coordination.
• Document consumer progress in program records.
• Work collaboratively with staff in an acute care residence.
