Riverside Community Care in Upton, MA is seeking a Respite Counselor to join a team in an acute care residence. The role focuses on providing guidance, education, supervision and direct supports to help consumers maintain health and work toward independent living.

The position requires collaboration with staff to stabilize crises, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and pay rates of $21.85–$22.94 per hour depending on education level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with one year of experience or a High School Diploma with three years of related experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential.
• Basic computer fluency including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, education, supervision and direct supports to consumers.
• Support crisis or situational stabilization within the team in an acute care residence.
• Collaborate with staff to help consumers maintain health and work toward independent living.
• Document progress and activities clearly in program records.
