Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a Skilled Nursing facility. The candidate must hold a state license, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and perform therapeutic activities to enhance residents' experience.

Responsibilities include assessments, therapy initiation, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff. LTC experience and tracheotomy familiarity are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy; CPAP/BIPAP; Oxygen therapy; pulmonary and cardio-pulmonary interventions.
