Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Oak Hill, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The candidate should be licensed in the state, possess a passion for geriatric care, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and perform functional respiratory therapies to improve residents' experience.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, documenting care, participating in IDT meetings, and delivering bedside

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.

Education

COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program

Licensed as RRT or CRT

Licensed in practicing state

BLS certification
