Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Tennessee is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team. The RT will assess and treat residents with diverse respiratory and non-respiratory needs, perform bedside therapies, and manage documentation and equipment with minimal supervision.

Candidates should have COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Care and be licensed (RRT or CRT) in the practicing state, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments as part of care.
• Deliver in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and in long-term care settings.
