Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a geriatric population in a Skilled Nursing facility. The candidate must hold a state license (RRT or CRT), work independently, and participate in functional therapies to enhance residents’ experiences.

The role covers assessments, therapy initiation, documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration, with emphasis on tracheostomy care and various respiratory interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy; long-term care setting; follow facility procedures.
• Manage caseload, perform respiratory interventions: oxygen weaning, chest physiotherapy, bronchodilation, CPAP/BIPAP, and related therapies.
