Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility team. The candidate should hold a state license, be able to assess and treat independently, and engage in functional respiratory activities to improve residents’ experiences.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and performing bedside treatments. Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Performs related duties as required
• Described in the Departmental Policy and procedure Manual in these areas of skilled interventions: Oxygen weaning therapy, Omniflow – Biofeedback, Group respiratory therapy, Standardized respiratory testing, Aerosol therapy, IPPB therapy, Incentive Spirometry, Chest physiotherapy, Deep breathing and coughing, Bronchial hygiene therapy, PEP therapy, Postal Drainage, Positioning, Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning, Airway clearance/management techniques, Trachea-bronchial suctioning, Tracheostomy care, Spirometry Bedside Testing, CPAP/BIPAP, High-Flow Oxygen, Cardiac Program, Pulmonary Program, Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation

Education

COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program

Licensed as RRT or CRT
