Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Michigan is seeking a Relief Cook for Saturdays and Sundays to deliver breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our scratch-based kitchen. You’ll cook to resident preferences, plate appealing meals, and help create a warm, welcoming weekend atmosphere.

You’ll work in a team, maintain safety and cleanliness, and ensure proper food temperatures. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, and you may need to obtain local food handler permits within two weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays, at least 8 hours per day.
• Able to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen prep and cooking preferred.
• Able to secure food handler permits within two weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Engage with residents, guests and team members to foster a welcoming weekend atmosphere.
• Complete opening and closing tasks for each shift and assist with setup and cleanup.
• Keep stations stocked and organized, monitor refrigeration and supplies.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and record temperatures as required.
