Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Rehab Tech/Admin Specialist to support rehabilitation services. This non-licensed staff member assists with patient care, clerical duties, and maintenance tasks within the rehabilitation services department.

The position is 24 hours per week with 8-hour shifts on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and BLS certification within 90 days of hire, with preferred additional education or healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• BLS Certification with the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard precautions and infection control policies.
• Operates and maintains rehabilitation equipment safely.
• Maintains equipment cleaning logs and monthly maintenance.
• Ensures Emergency Operation Center meets standards.
• Assists therapists and communicates patient status to the therapist.
• Greets patients and staff, verifies identity and guides them to appointments.
• Schedules and reschedules patient visits for Rehabilitation Services and satellite locations.
• Manages clinic inventory and handles billing-related tasks as needed.
