Job summary

The role supports therapists, handles scheduling, patient communication, and basic billing tasks in a hospital rehab department. The position is 0.5FTE with part-time daytime hours, paying an hourly rate between $17.05 and $22.17.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma as a baseline requirement.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Follows infection control policies and Northwestern Medicine safety procedures.
• Manages and operates rehab equipment safely and correctly; cleans equipment per standards.
• Maintains all equipment cleaning logs and performs monthly maintenance.
• Schedules, confirms, and reschedules patients for visits to Rehabilitation Services and satellite locations.
• Communicates with patients and families; provides necessary information about visits and plans of care.
• Collects co-payments and posts payments; assists with billing duties as needed.
