Qualifications

• Completion of Radiologic Technology programs from approved school.
• Registered Radiographer (R) with American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
• Current Radiology state license.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Adjust and control complex electronic equipment in applying ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
• Prepare and position patients prior to procedures to ensure safety and to obtain desired reports for diagnostic purposes.
• Calculate and select appropriate equipment and technical factors such as proper type of film and number of kilovolts or milliamperes.
• Maintain working condition of all equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for adjustments to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining sanitary condition of radiology area.
• Comply with Radiology information system entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors.
• Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect.
• Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.
