Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist - PRN to join the Akron General imaging team. You will perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring high-quality images while minimizing radiation dose.

This PRN role requires ARRT registration, state licensure, and BLS, with anatomy knowledge. You will educate patients and work across PACS workflows on varied days and shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(R)(ARRT), in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

ARRT RT(R) credential

State licensure as Radiology Technologist
