Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and fluoroscopy tools, delivering high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on patient comfort and safety, mainly during an evening/night 6:30pm–7:00am shift.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT registration, state licensure, and BLS; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT in good standing.
• Current state radiology licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions and report to management/PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling, monitor patient priority and process billing.
