Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-registered radiologic technologist in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions and report to management and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures and monitor priority of patients; process billing.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered Technologist (ARRT) R.T.(R)

Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Knowledge of anatomy
