Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Processing Operator for the Weekend Day Shift in Hanover, PA. You will set up, operate, and monitor extrusion equipment to produce cheese curls and cheese balls, while keeping logs and ensuring quality.

Join a fast-paced production team, learn multiple processing machines, and support the flow of materials and sanitation efforts. Provide accurate records and collaborate with QA and packaging to maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Friday through Sunday shift 5:55 AM–5:55 PM.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment experience.
• Lift up to 70 lbs.
• Willingness to work around water, chemicals, and wet floors.
• Follow written procedures, safety and quality standards.
• Detail-oriented with accurate production records.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn multiple processing machines.
• Operate or learn forklifts/high-reach equipment.
• Previous manufacturing/food production experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor extruders and other processing equipment for cheese curls and cheese balls.
• Monitor and adjust equipment to keep production running smoothly.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance for quality checks and standards.
• Retrieve, stage, and prepare raw materials for production.
• Complete production logs and record usage accurately.
• Clean and sanitize equipment per procedures and sanitation schedules.
• Communicate with processing and packaging teams to maintain flow.
• Assist in training new or less experienced team members.
• Follow safety, food safety, and quality procedures; report concerns.
