Utz Quality Foods, Inc. in Hanover, PA is seeking a dependable Processing Operator for the Weekend Day Shift. You will operate and monitor extrusion and other processing equipment to produce cheese curls and cheese balls, contributing to a fast-paced production line.

You will join a team focused on quality, safety, and efficiency, with duties ranging from material preparation and logs to sanitation and equipment maintenance. This role emphasizes hands-on learning and teamwork on a 3-day workweek.

Qualifications

• Ability to work Friday through Sunday 5:55 AM–5:55 PM.
• Comfortable in fast-paced manufacturing with processing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs safely.
• Willing to work around cleaning chemicals and wet floors.
• Ability to follow procedures and food safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor extruders and processing equipment.
• Monitor equipment and adjust as needed to keep production running.
• Complete quality checks with QA team to meet standards.
• Retrieve, stage, and prepare raw materials for production.
• Maintain logs and record component usage accurately.
• Clean and sanitize equipment per procedures and schedules.
• Train and support new team members.
• Operate forklifts and high-reach equipment as needed.
• Support daily housekeeping and sanitation.
