Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a dependable Processing Operator to join our Weekend Day Shift team in Hanover, PA. You’ll operate and monitor the equipment used to produce cheese curls and cheese balls, ensuring quality while working on a fast-paced line.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn multiple processing machines, and contribute to safety, sanitation and continuous improvement within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work Fri-Sun 5:55 AM–5:55 PM.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs safely.
• Willingness to work around hot water, cleaning chemicals, and wet floors.
• Follow written procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete production records.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor extruders and other processing equipment.
• Keep production running smoothly by monitoring equipment and making adjustments.
• Partner with QA to complete quality checks and ensure products meet standards.
• Retrieve, stage, and prepare raw materials for production.
• Complete production logs, records, and usage entries accurately.
• Clean and sanitize processing equipment according to procedures.
• Communicate with processing and packaging teams to maintain flow.
• Assist training of new or less experienced team members.
