Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a dedicated Processing Operator to join our Hanover, PA manufacturing team on the Weekend Night Shift. The role involves preparing, operating, and monitoring extruder lines for cheese curls and balls, Monday through Thursday, 5:55 PM to 5:55 AM.

You will work with QA to ensure product quality, record shift data, and support sanitation and safety protocols while collaborating with processing and packaging teams. Prioritize reliable performance and team safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating processing equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and sanitation schedules.
• Comfort with lifting up to 70 lbs and working on a night shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a variety of processing equipment.
• Conduct quality checks with QA to ensure product standards.
• Retrieve and stage raw materials for production.
• Maintain logs and enter component usage at shift end.
• Clean and sanitize equipment according to procedures.
• Communicate with team across processing and packaging to maintain workflow.
• Train new or less experienced team members.
• Follow safety protocols and report unsafe practices or equipment.
• Perform daily housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• Operate forklift and high-reach equipment as needed.
• Lift items up to 70 lbs and work around hot water and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
