Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program or documented phlebotomy experience.
• Must be able to differentiate colors and have 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for procedures and perform testing while caring for the patient before, during and after collection.
• Perform pre-analytic tasks for sample preparation including centrifugation, decanting, distribution and packaging.
• Follow asepsis/antisepsis principles and help train new associates or students.
