Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect specimens and perform testing while caring for patients before, during, and after collection. The role includes pre-analytic processing, QA-driven procedure improvements, and training of new associates.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and either a phlebotomy diploma or 6 months of phlebotomy experience in a high-volume setting, with preferred professional registration (PBT ASCP).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute or 6 months phlebotomy experience.
• 6 months of high-volume phlebotomy experience (≈30 draws/day) or completion of a clinical rotation with 100+ venipunctures.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for procedures and perform testing.
• Prepare specimens via pre-analytic tasks including centrifugation and packaging.
• Follow asepsis/antisepsis principles and assist in training new associates.
